These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Recipe Haven. By using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Informational purpose

Recipe Haven provides recipes, cooking guides, meal ideas, and related information for general informational and entertainment purposes. Content is not medical, nutritional, legal, or other professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use Recipe Haven on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

3. Ownership and permitted use

Unless otherwise stated, Recipe Haven and its licensors own the site’s original text, graphics, branding, layout, and other protected content. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the site and use recipes for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may print or save a reasonable number of recipes for personal use. You may link to a Recipe Haven page and briefly describe it in your own words. You may not republish a full article or recipe, copy our images, scrape the site at scale, remove rights notices, sell our content, or present our work as your own without written permission.

4. Recipe adaptation and attribution

Copyright generally protects original expression rather than a bare ingredient list, but our written instructions, photographs, introductions, notes, and arrangement may be protected. If you publish an adaptation inspired by Recipe Haven, use your own expression and provide clear credit with a link to the original page where appropriate.

5. User submissions and comments

If you submit comments, feedback, corrections, photographs, or other material, you represent that you have the right to do so and that the submission is lawful and accurate to the best of your knowledge. You retain ownership of your original submission, but grant Recipe Haven a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, edit for clarity or moderation, and use it in connection with operating and promoting the site.

We may moderate, reject, or remove submissions that are unlawful, threatening, abusive, deceptive, infringing, promotional, irrelevant, unsafe, or disclose personal information.

6. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • Interfere with site security, availability, or operation
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or overload the site without permission
  • Transmit malware, spam, deceptive content, or unlawful material

Recipe Haven may link to or embed third-party websites, products, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, privacy practices, or performance. A link does not necessarily mean endorsement.

9. No warranties

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recipe Haven and those involved in operating the site will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss arising from reliance on site content, use of third-party services, interruption, data loss, injury, allergic reaction, foodborne illness, property damage, or inability to use the site. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Recipe Haven and those involved in operating it from claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms or another person’s rights.

12. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site and may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or enforcement. We may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new date. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

13. Governing rules and disputes

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without overriding any mandatory consumer protection that applies to you. Any dispute must be brought in a court with lawful jurisdiction unless the parties agree to another permitted resolution method.

14. Severability and waiver

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to do so later.
