Recipe Haven wants recipes and cooking information to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
Our accessibility goal
We aim to improve the site in alignment with generally recognized web-accessibility practices, including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is an ongoing goal, not a claim that every page or third-party component currently meets every criterion.
Areas we consider
Our accessibility work may include:
- Clear headings and logical content order
- Readable color contrast and text sizing
- Keyboard-friendly navigation
- Descriptive link text
- Alternative text for meaningful images
- Labels for forms and controls
- Plain-language instructions and consistent page structure
- Avoiding unnecessary motion or providing controls where practical
Third-party content
Recipe Haven may link to or embed tools, advertisements, videos, or other content provided by third parties. We do not always control the accessibility of those services, but feedback about a barrier is still helpful.
